This 11-day Rajasthan journey combines the classic Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur with the desert landscapes and royal heritage of Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Pushkar.
Arrive in Delhi and meet your driver for the transfer to the hotel. After some time to freshen up, begin exploring the capital depending on your arrival time.
The sightseeing can cover a practical combination of Old and New Delhi, such as India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan area, Qutub Minar or the historic lanes around Jama Masjid. Since arrival time varies between travellers, the first day is kept flexible rather than packing too many monuments into the schedule.
Return to the hotel and relax after the journey.
Overnight stay in Delhi.
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Agra. The journey is around 200–225 km and generally takes approximately 4–5 hours, depending on traffic and the chosen route.
On arrival, check in to your hotel and have lunch before beginning Agra sightseeing. Visit Agra Fort, where the Mughal history of the city becomes much easier to understand through its palaces, courtyards and fortified sections.
If your arrival is early enough, you can also spend some time around the local markets or explore Mehtab Bagh around sunset. The Taj Mahal is intentionally kept for the following morning, when visiting early gives you a more comfortable experience.
Overnight stay in Agra.
Start the morning with an early visit to the Taj Mahal. Allow around two to three hours for the visit, including walking through the complex and returning for breakfast.
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Jaipur. En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the historic Mughal-era city located on the Agra-Jaipur route. A focused visit here can take around 1.5–2 hours without making the overall day unnecessarily long.
Continue towards Jaipur after sightseeing. The combined drive and Fatehpur Sikri stop make this primarily a transfer-plus-heritage day, so extensive Jaipur sightseeing is better avoided.
Arrive in Jaipur, check in to the hotel and relax.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
After breakfast, dedicate the day to Jaipur's historic core. Begin with Amber Fort, allowing enough time to explore its courtyards, gateways and palace sections rather than treating it as a quick photo stop.
Continue towards the city for City Palace and Jantar Mantar, followed by a stop at Hawa Mahal. The attractions are relatively close to one another, making this sequence practical.
In the evening, explore one of Jaipur's traditional markets for handicrafts, textiles, jewellery and local shopping. You can also enjoy a relaxed dinner featuring Rajasthani cuisine.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
With another full day in Jaipur, the itinerary does not need to repeat yesterday's sightseeing. Use the morning for attractions that could not comfortably fit into Day 4, such as Jaigarh Fort or Nahargarh Fort.
The afternoon can be kept more relaxed with local shopping, cafés, traditional bazaars or additional cultural experiences. Travellers interested in photography can also spend time around the old Pink City streets when the activity and light are better suited for photographs.
Keeping this second Jaipur day flexible also means you are not forced to rush through the city's major attractions simply to follow a checklist.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
After breakfast, check out and begin the drive towards Bikaner. The Jaipur–Bikaner road journey is roughly 330–340 km and generally requires around 5–6 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Because much of the day is spent travelling, Bikaner sightseeing should remain limited after arrival. Once you check in and have some time to rest, you can explore the area around the old city or visit Junagarh Fort if your arrival is early enough.
For travellers reaching Bikaner later in the afternoon, it is better to skip the fort rather than rush through it and carry the fatigue into the next day's desert experience.
Overnight stay in Bikaner.
Start the morning and, depending on the departure time, visit a principal Bikaner attraction such as Junagarh Fort before leaving for Jaisalmer.
The Bikaner–Jaisalmer journey is a long desert-road transfer of roughly six hours or more, so the day's priority is reaching the camp comfortably rather than adding several sightseeing stops.
Arrive at the desert camp in the Sam/Sam Sand Dunes area by evening. After check-in, enjoy the desert surroundings and, subject to the camp schedule, experience a camel ride or other desert activity around sunset.
The evening continues with traditional Rajasthani folk music, dance and dinner at the camp, giving you a completely different experience from the forts and palaces visited earlier in the journey.
Overnight stay at the Jaisalmer desert camp.
After breakfast, leave the desert camp for Jaisalmer city. Today is reserved for exploring the Golden City's major heritage attractions.
Start with Jaisalmer Fort, which is much more than a viewpoint—it is a living fort area containing homes, temples, shops and historic architecture. Continue to Patwon Ki Haveli and other nearby havelis according to available time.
After lunch, visit Gadisar Lake or explore the surrounding old-city streets. Because most of these attractions are concentrated within the historic part of Jaisalmer, the day can be covered without spending excessive time travelling between locations.
Return to your city hotel for the night.
Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Jodhpur. The journey is around 280–300 km and generally takes approximately five hours.
On reaching Jodhpur, check in and have some time for lunch before starting the city's main sightseeing. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, the defining landmark of Jodhpur, followed by Jaswant Thada.
If time permits, continue towards the Clock Tower and Sardar Market in the evening. This gives you an opportunity to experience Jodhpur beyond its monuments, particularly its traditional shops and blue-city atmosphere.
Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
After breakfast, check out and begin the journey towards Pushkar. The road journey takes around four to five hours, making an early start worthwhile.
Depending on the arrival time, begin with Pushkar Lake and the surrounding ghats before visiting Brahma Temple. The old town is compact enough to explore partly on foot, making Pushkar quite different from the larger fortified cities visited earlier.
Spend the evening walking through the colourful market streets around the lake. Pushkar's atmosphere becomes particularly interesting around sunset when the ghats and surrounding temples become active.
Overnight stay in Pushkar.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before beginning the final journey to Delhi. If your departure time allows, you can take a short morning visit to Pushkar Lake or complete any last-minute shopping before checking out.
The Pushkar–Delhi journey is a substantial road transfer and can take around 5–6 hours depending on traffic and the final drop location. For travellers catching a flight from Delhi, the departure time should therefore be planned with a generous buffer.
Proceed towards Delhi and conclude your Golden Triangle & Marwar Rajasthan journey with a drop at the airport, railway station or your preferred location.
